Often, the best way to exchange graphical information is by computer file. We have a broadband connection which will enable relatively large files to be forwarded. Sign shops mostly use vector (outline) files, especially for lettering and designs. Raster files (Bitmaps or pictures) are used for photographs. If we get designs in bitmap (.jpg) format we have to spend a lot of time re-drawing them. If we get files with special fonts, our equivalent fonts may not match yours exactly and this will take time to rectify. Therefore fonts or lettering should be converted to curves or paths on your software before sending. We have PC computers, not Mac. We can use the following formats: *
